Robert Mugabe: My complicated relationship with Zimbabwe’s former leader

Until he was ousted two years ago, Robert Mugabe was the only president I and the other “born frees” – the generation born after independence in 1980 – had ever known.
Mugabe was my grandmother's president, my mother's president, and I thought he was going to be my daughter's president as well. The word “president” for us meant Robert Mugabe.
In school we used to revere him for his linguistic prowess. His speeches were spellbinding and rousing. We sang songs in his praise at school assemblies. Such was our pride to have him as our leader.
I will remember him for being true to his beliefs. He lived a principled life. He never drank or smoked, he ate traditional Zimbabwean food and he was a keen tennis player.
He also presided over the violent repression of his political opponents and the slow decline of his nation into economic ruin. T..

Le Comité sénégalais du tourisme installé

Diamniadio, 6 sept (APS) – Le ministre du Tourisme et des Transports aériens, Alioune Sarr, a installé vendredi le Comité sénégalais du tourisme, à l'occasion de la clôture, au Centre international de conférences Abdou-Diouf (CICAD) de Diamniadio, du séminaire de lancement de l'étude sur la stratégie de développement du tourisme et des transports aériens.

Diamniadio, 6 sept (APS) – Une étude a été lancée vendredi au Centre international de conférences Abdou Diouf de Diamniadio (CICAD) pour ‘'exploiter l'interdépendance entre le tourisme et les transports aériens à la suite de la décision judicieuse de réunir les deux secteurs dans un même département ministériel''.
